Road Rally 2017
Every Rally has a theme, and this year’s is The Art & Architecture of Adams County. Preparations are underway to deliver a memorable drive through the best rural routes in our county—so put a placeholder in your calendar for Saturday, October 21, and secure a spot for your team by becoming a Rally sponsor or participant.
During this year’s Rally, teams of 2-4 people will tour the county’s unexplored treasures while participating in fun activities focused on art & architecture. Throughout the Rally’s 60-mile route, we’ll stop at several locations and participate in hands-on activities related to our theme. Along the way, we’ll follow our Rally route guide answering questions related to the route and theme.
Again this year, those who’d prefer not to drive can participate by riding our Rally bus, which is stocked with refreshments and includes its own activities and celebrity route narrator. The Finish Line Party will feature refreshments, a light meal, prizes, and the presentation of our infamous Fuzzy Dice award. Our goal this year is $30,000 in net revenue, all of which is used to preserve the rural lands and character of Adams County.
Sponsorship levels range from $200 for non-profits to $1,000 for Gold Sponsors and includes entry to the Rally and Finish Line Party as well as other benefits.
Is your business interested in sponsoring the Road Rally this year? Join us at 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 25 at the Gettysburg Heritage Center at 297 Steinwehr Ave. for our first annual Sponsor Appreciation Event. You’ll have the opportunity to learn more about the Land Conservancy and the Road Rally, while enjoying complementary refreshments and exploring the Heritage Center’s unique educational and entertainment experience—including a display of several large pieces of a Battle of Gettysburg witness tree donated by Land Conservancy co-founder Jim Paddock.
